L. A. Flute & String Quartet
The L.A. Flute & String Quartet is a group I formed in 2013 to explore and showcase the beauty of flute with strings while performing modern music in a chamber music setting. My son was born shortly after forming the group, and performances then took me in the direction of Justin Hayward's music and the world of rock flute. Although the group hasn’t had my full attention for a while, I haven't lost interest in its potential. I plan to revisit this group to continue to enjoy and explore what classical crossover flute has to offer. It has been a goal of mine to record a proper album with these great musicians one day. For now, here is a link to some casual demo recordings of us sight-reading and having fun exploring pop music arrangements and adding bass.
